Sometimes it happens that when a user want to open a project schedule from project professional it does not open in write mode. This is because that last time the project was opened it was not checked in properly. There are two ways to overcome this problem:

  • First, do not retrieve all projects from Server, instead get the local copy of that is displayed in recent projects. Open it save the changes and properly "Check In" the project.
  • Secondly, go to Tools -> Local Project Cache and remove the project from its local cache, by this you will loose all the changes you have made in the current version. following is the screenshot of Local project Cache.
